From a shoot with Doug at Rock and Shock 2015, printed on incredible pearl paper 8x12
Doug is someone I have photographed quite a bit over the years due to Rock and Shock. Hes always such a kind person to chat with about things from his work and beyond. One of the on going projects I had been doing with RNS shoots was bringing a prop for the actor, Freddys glove for Robert, a Jason mask for Kane and Derek, and for Doug, of course The Lament Configuration, aka the Hellraiser puzzle box. It was a shot I always wanted to get of him holding the box similar to the cover art of the movie. We did two sets with two different outfits over two days, and this one ended up being my favorite, a photo that has become one of his as well and in that very short shoot it became such an iconic photo thats gone so far. I have had the opportunity to work with Doug a handful of times since and hes always just the sweetest dude, sort of the exact opposite of his character, and its such an insane thing to work with the person who really put life into one of my favorite characters of all time, from my favorite horror movie ever. Being a massive horror fans, having pinhead tattooed on the top of my forearm front and center, its never lost on me how lucky I am to create with my favorite creators. Doug is atop that list.
