Go behind the lens, lights, tubes, and mind of twenty-year rock and celebrity portrait photographer Jeremy Saffer and get a glimpse into the world of music, celebrity, and entertainment photography using LED lighting and Pavotubes in an expanded Totally Tubular workshop.

Students will get the unique opportunity to not only learn everything Jeremy has to teach about using LED and tube LED lighting, but will also a chance to apply everything they’ve learned during hands on demos and photo shoots.

After having the chance to observe Jeremy’s approach to using tubes with LED lighting while working with a special guest subject(s), it will be your turn to create images.

SCHEDULE

10:00 a.m – 6:00 p.m.
10:00 a.m. – Intro to Jeremy Saffer
10:15 a.m. – Totally Tubular Expanded slideshow
11:00 a.m. – hands on gear demo with build/breakdown
12:00 p.m. – Break / Lunch (Time may vary)
12:30 p.m. – Pre-shoot QnA with guest/band.
1:00 p.m. – Live Shoot: Jeremy photographs guest bands/models
2:00 p.m. – Live Shoot: Students build their own sets and photograph the bands
6:00 p.m. – Wrap up/final band QnA/feedback

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Anyone with an interest in portrait photography and lighting will gain much from this program.  Music photographers looking to get into music portraiture. Any photographers who want the chance to photograph a band using professional lighting in a studio setting.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW

Having a basic understanding of photography, camera settings, and being familiar with your camera is important but students do not need any prior lighting experience.

This is an ALL AGES event open to any photographers (pro, amateur, hobby, etc)
